Tracey Bing

Tracey Bing is a producer and former studio executive with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Her core mission is to create female-oriented stories that showcase original and diverse voices. Most recently she produced the hit romantic comedy Nappily Ever After, starring Sanaa Lathan, financed and distributed by Netflix.  

Prior to that Bing developed, packaged, and executive produced the critically acclaimed drama Southside With You about Barack and Michelle Obama’s first date; and executive produced the sci-fi thriller Prospect which premiered at SXSW in 2017. She is executive producing the thriller Alex, based on the novel by French crime writer Pierre LeMaitre, which will be directed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me). Bing is developing/producing a number of other projects including a sequel to Nappily Ever After and remakes of II A Deja Tes Yeux, Unfinished Song aka Song for Marion, No Estoy Loca, and El Futbol O Yo (set up at AGC Studios). She is also working on a Nollywood musical.  

From 2003-2006, Bing was VP, Production and Acquisitions at Warner Independent Pictures, where she helped launch the division and was instrumental in devising the strategy for the company. While at WIP, Bing was responsible for acquiring and reformatting March of the Penguins, which won the 2006 Oscar for Best Documentary. She also worked on many other WIP releases including: George Clooney’s Good Night, And Good Luck, The Painted Veil, Paradise Now, and Before Sunset. During her tenure there, WIP became the first film company ever to get Best Picture, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Documentary nominations in the same year for Good Night, And Good Luck, Paradise Now, and March of the Penguins. Prior to WIP, Bing was Director of Acquisitions/Co-Productions at Paramount Classics where she spearheaded the division’s activities acquiring films such as Bloody Sunday, Mostly Martha, and Man on the Train.  
   
Bing has worked as a consultant to a number of entities including One Features (Spotlight, Eye in the Sky), K5 International (The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Land of Mine), Warner Bros., Fox International, PBS, and Liberty Media/Wananchi Group (where she created 10 branded channels for the Pan-African Pay TV network).  
Early in her career, Bing worked in production and development in New York on films such as Flirting with Disaster, The Pallbearer, Gridlock’d, The Yards, Welcome to the Dollhouse, The Break, Too Tired to Die, Courage and Pain (Jonathan Demme produced documentary about Haiti), and a UNICEF Project for Hillary Rodham Clinton. 

Bing is a frequent speaker, juror and/or panelist for various organizations, including Cannes Film Festival Producers Network, Sundance Film Festival, American Film Institute, American Black Film Festival, Tribeca All Access, Film Independent, Kenya International Film Festival, Doha International Film Festival, and National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP).  
Bing began her career as a financial analyst at Prudential Securities Incorporated where she evaluated the feasibility of and oversaw the issuance of tax-exempt financings for municipalities such as the City of New York, Miami-Dade County, and San Diego County Water Authority.  
 
Bing is a graduate of Yale University and received her MBA from Harvard Business School.
