Bayan Joonam

Bayan Joonam is a documentary filmmaker known for empathy driven storytelling that opens your heart or blows your mind. His past projects have won a Daytime Emmy, Television Academy Honors, 4 Telly Awards, and the RFK Human Rights Book & Journalism Award for Best Domestic TV. Prior to that, Bayan was a Producer and Interviewer for the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Raised in Israel, after his bus stop was attacked by a suicide bomber it galvanized Bayan’s commitment to pursuing work that addresses ideological divides. His work can be found on CNN, Vice, Netflix, and Discovery+.
